The Crying Experience
“I have always wanted to photograph something more than the beauty that goes beyond the surface. It was risky and nervous to shoot a theme about crying. But I wanted my photos to represent my subject's emotion, so this person is not only an object in my picture. We did an editorial shoot with the wonderful MUA Najeema first to get into that emotional mood. Then Jo and I just started talking, the process was natural. Because I did not know what was going wrong with her life, we just randomly talked to a point where she started crying. I took very few pictures of her crying, and I am willing to show them on my blog later. I also would like to explain more about the intention behind this shoot on my blog.” @shellhoffoto
